Get “Searched” by LinkedIn …
LinkedIn search engines are like all search engines, they look for keywords; so use them!
LinkedIn is a site that you need to continuously update and change. No matter where you or your LinkedIn contacts go to work, you will always have their contact info.
Starting at the top of your profile, here are a few suggestions on helping get more traction in the LinkedIn search engine …

Happy Holidays! …
It’s that time of the year! Time to close out the books on 2010 and start anew for 2011.
Don’t forget to wish your customers a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
Your customers are always appreciative of even the smallest gesture.
BTW, something to remember for your website – don’t forget to update your “Copyright” date to 2011 in January. Even if you have to pay someone to edit your site, it is worth it.
Keeping your website FRESH …
How many of you hope and / or expect your website to drive clients to you? How old is your website content?
One of the basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques is to continuously update your website content.
Writing a new Blog posting is always the easiest. You could write up a case study on how you helped a company save money or generate more clients. Explain to the Internet world and your readers some new aspect of your company. Maybe it’s a new client targeted industry and why you chose that direction. Maybe it is a new product. You might have implemented a new software that helps your internal operations or a new phone system to improve customer service, support and sales. Give the world insight into your company.

You need to remember that anything that you post on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Tumblr, Flikr, etc. is going to be permanently out there somewhere, so you should make a reasonable determination of what you actually want published about you, your company and the things you are doing.
Welcome to FinTel Communications – 2010 …
It’s July 2010 and I have almost completed my website re-write. I decided to start about two months ago, but actually kicked it off over the July 4th weekend. (Yes, I lead a very exciting life these days.) The best decision that I made was to only reuse my site structure and NOT my current content at that time. The best way to complete this was to actually take the site off line so that I would not be tempted to peak at what I had originally written over 2 years ago.
